NYIT student-athletes scored big in the classroom during the Fall 2018 semester. In all, 139 student-athletes achieved at least a 3.2 GPA last semester. These students were honored at the Athletic Director's Honor Roll luncheon on March 5 inside Recreation Hall. Nine student-athletes had perfect 4.0 GPAs: Ivana Andric (women's tennis), Jessica Budrewicz (softball), Matthaeus Granger (men's soccer), Madisyn Hausch (women's lacrosse), Jean Kehyayan (men's tennis), Ane Rake (women's soccer), Bernd Schluter (men's soccer), Martin Sundell (men's soccer), and Ann-Kathrin Zilles (women's tennis).

The SUNY New Paltz Department of Theatre Arts will present "for colored girls who have considered suicide / when the rainbow is enuf," with performances Feb. 28 to March 3 and March 7-10.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its fall 2018 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its Dean's List for the Fall 2018 semester. To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5-grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.

SUNY New Paltz announces its Dean's List for the fall 2018 semester. The Dean's List honors students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade-point average with a full-time course load.

Seventy students are spending the Spring 2019 semester away from Wofford College as part of the study abroad program.

The following students have been cited for academic achievement for the Fall 2018 semester by achieving the Dean's List at SUNY Delhi. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have an academic average of 3.50 or higher within the semester.

Approximately 600 Nichols College students in Dudley, Mass., have achieved Dean's List or Dean's High Honors during the fall 2018 semester. The Dean's List recognizes students who have achieved high grades during a single semester. In order to be included in the Dean's List, a student must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.2 for at least 12 credit-hours and receive no grade below a C+ during the semester. A student who earns a grade point average of 3.6 or higher is awarded Dean's High Honors.

The Oswego State men's basketball team warded off Potsdam to remain unblemished in SUNYAC action on Tuesday night. A two-point Laker advantage at the half was the difference in a game that was rescheduled from Saturday due to a winter storm.

The Oswego State men's basketball team remained unbeaten in SUNYAC play with a final-seconds floater from Liam Sanborn to upset nationally-ranked Plattsburgh on Friday night. Plattsburgh came into the contest ranked 15th in the country and led by as many as 12 in the early goings before the Lakers stormed back for the victory.

The Oswego State men's basketball team returned to New York with a convincing conference victory over New Paltz on Tuesday night. Oswego held the Hawks to just 11 points in the first half, allowing just four field goals over 20 minutes of action.

The School of Education at SUNY New Paltz invited faculty, friends and family members to a Dec. 20 ceremony honoring students who successfully completed all student teaching requirements this fall.

\Freshman Julien Crittendon's 13 points in the final nine and half minutes of the contest lifted the Oswego State men's basketball team to a 73-63 win over Brockport. With the victory, the Lakers remain a perfect 6-0 on the season and improve to 2-0 in conference action.

The Oswego State men's basketball remained perfect on the year by easily handing Nazareth College its first loss of the year at home on Tuesday night. Nazareth entered the game receiving 32 votes in the D3hoops.com national rankings while the Lakers have now won each of its four games by double-digit margins.

Junior Brandan Gartland poured in 23 points, including 18 in the second half, to lead the undefeated Oswego State men's basketball team to a 68-50 nonconference victory over the Saints of St. Lawrence University.

The Oswego State men's basketball team continued its dominant play with a 28-point victory over SUNY Poly in Saturday afternoon's Max Ziel Tournament title. While the Lakers claimed the championship, Brandan Gartland was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player and teammate Joe Sullivan joined the junior on the All-Tournament Team.

The Oswego State men's basketball team jump started the 2018-19 season in grand fashion, thumping Elmira College in the opening round of the Max Ziel Tournament on Friday night. Oswego recorded 106 points in the tilt, the most since it posted 122 in a win over D'Youville College on this exact day in 2012.

More than 700 students volunteered on Buffalo State's annual Bengals Dare to Care Day 2018. Students volunteered at a variety of community organizations as part of Buffalo State's commitment to community engagement.

The Oswego State men's soccer team sent its senior class away from Laker Turf Stadium on a high note, defeating Fredonia at home on Saturday afternoon. Prior to the contest, Laker seniors Evan Bogucki, Thomas Jackson, Hassan Musa, RJ Nichol, Sean Ormsby, Thomas Osborn, Adan Raacha, Jason Siracuse and Karebo Wilson were honored with an on-field ceremony.
