Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least 3 course credits during the fall 2016 semester earn the Dean's Award with Distinction.

The SUNY Geneseo chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society recently inducted students into the organization during a campus ceremony. Sophomores, juniors or seniors with a grade point average that places them in the top 15 percent of their class are eligible for membership.

To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Twenty-eight members of SUNY Oneonta's Zeta Beta Tau fraternity chapter helped organize SUNY Oneonta's third annual Gift of Life Bone Marrow Donor Registration Drive on Oct. 26 and 27.

The Oswego State men's basketball team began league action with a 61-57 victory over SUNYAC-foe Cortland on Saturday afternoon in Max Ziel Gymnasium. With the win, Oswego is now 5-2 on the year and 1-0 in the conference while the Red Dragons drop to 3-2, 0-1.

This fall, SUNY Oneonta will welcome approximately 1,100 freshmen and 600 new transfer students hailing from across New York, as well as from 12 other states and countries. Our newest Red Dragons will officially join the Oneonta family when they walk through the historic pillars of Old Main during the traditional Pass Through the Pillars ceremony on the campus quad the night before classes begin.
